We’re building the Business OS for service businesses.
Upgear CRM is a small, focused team based in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. We make software for pest control, cleaning, AC service, fumigation, and adjacent service operators — the firms whose business is built on AMC contracts, field visits, and the reconciliation tax generic CRMs keep hiding. Endorsed by PMPWA Mumbai.
A generic CRM never understood what you do.
Upgear was built because service businesses kept paying for software that didn’t understand their work. Excel for billing, ClearTax for invoices, Tally for books, WhatsApp for everything else — five tools doing one operator’s job. We built Upgear as one platform that knows what running a service business actually looks like: contracts that span multiple sites, technicians who work in teams, customers who reach you on WhatsApp, accountants who close month-end on real systems.
The operators we met were doing heroic work holding it together — the ops manager whose head held the week’s schedule, the owner who chased renewals personally every month, the accountant who spent three days at month-end reconciling three tools. Each of them was paying a tax nobody was counting. And each of them was told by the SaaS industry that the solution was to move to Zoho or HubSpot or Salesforce — software built for deal cycles that look nothing like a year-long AMC.
We started Upgear to stop that. Not as a “CRM for pest control” bolted onto generic SaaS architecture, but as a Business Operating System designed from the first line of code around how service businesses actually run — AMC contracts with tranches, multi-site delivery, multi-company support, WhatsApp as the primary customer channel, and compliance baked in rather than upsold.
A small team you can reach directly.
Founder-led demos, founder-led support, founder-led roadmap. When you email us, the people who respond are the people who designed the product. That’s a deliberate choice about the scale we want to stay at for as long as possible.
Product and engineering background across SaaS and Indian service-industry operations. Designed Upgear from the first line of code around the operational shapes Indian pest control and cleaning operators actually run on. Also leads sales conversations with new customers, runs the marketing and website work, and stays close to support and infrastructure — hands-on cross-functional involvement common in early-stage Indian SaaS. Based in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.
Business operations and commercial partnerships. Leads customer onboarding and the PMPWA-member relationship. Twenty years in Indian service-industry buyer conversations, which is where Upgear’s commercial philosophy of "no addon you don’t need" came from.
Built for how the work actually happens.
Software for service businesses has to fit how the work actually happens. That means GST e-invoicing direct to IRIS rather than as a separate compliance tool. WhatsApp automation that fires on real business events, not just broadcast campaigns. Multi-currency operations because not every customer pays in the same currency. Language flexibility because not every team speaks the same way. On-premises face recognition because not every operator wants employee biometrics in someone else’s cloud.
These aren’t localisation layers retrofitted onto a generic product designed elsewhere. GST is the spine of how invoices, vouchers, and reports are modelled. WhatsApp is the primary customer touchpoint the product is built around. Multi-company with separate GSTINs is in Core because operators routinely run multiple legal entities. UPI / NEFT / RTGS / IMPS / Cheque / Cash / Card are first-class payment modes, not afterthoughts. Hindi, Marathi, and Hinglish code-switching are handled by the field-facing voice agent, not bolted on.
The pattern is depth before generality, native compliance before localisation, real workflows before screen mockups. Every decision in the product gets made against the question: does this match how the operator actually works, or does it just look right in a feature list?
Four commitments every customer gets in writing.
Our team maps your Excel / Tally / legacy-CRM exports into Upgear for no additional fee. It’s not a feature on the pricing page that happens to be free — it’s a commitment, because no service operator should walk into Upgear and be asked to pay extra just to bring their existing data along.
Every customer runs on their own SQL database, not a shared multi-tenant pool. Operationally more expensive for us. Decisive for commercial and regulated buyers (hospitals, food plants, listed companies) whose InfoSec teams require data-isolation guarantees shared architectures can’t make.
The price on the pricing page is the price. Multi-company is in Core. GST e-invoicing is in Core. The three addons that exist (WhatsApp Marketing, AI Copilot, Photo Attendance) are listed plainly with what they do and what they cost. We don’t invent new tier names to renegotiate the bill at year-end.
Most operators we talk to never add a single addon. Core alone moves the needle. When we do recommend an addon, it’s because we’ve looked at your operation and concluded the ROI case is real — not because we’re chasing ARR growth on your annual renewal.
