Field apps are great until the technician taps “done”.
Fieldproxy, QuikFSM, Fieldy, Zuper and FieldDesk run the field day well, and several sell to pest-control companies. An AMC keeps going after the visit, though: into the store, the bill, the TDS and next year’s renewal. Follow Imran down the road.
WHERE FIELD-APP PITCHES FOCUSWHERE THE AMC KEEPS GOING
Imran: Assigned. Off I go.
A pest-control page isn’t your package.
Each brand’s facts come from its own pages, read on 1 October 2026. A page tells you what a vendor sells, not what’s in the plan you’d buy. We haven’t used these apps ourselves.
WHO’S ON YOUR SHORTLIST
Five good field apps. One question each for the demo.
Don’t assume a general field app is shallow on pest work. And don’t assume a pest page means every feature is in your plan. Each card has what its own website says, plus the one question to settle.
QuikFSM / QuikAllotQuikAllot’s old pest page led to QuikOne’s QuikFSM. Scheduling, field proof, offline access and a customer portal. Confirm which edition you’d sign.Ask:Chemical returns, billing exceptions and the accountant’s file, on one job.
FieldyAMC tracking, expiry alerts, online booking and payment. Prices didn’t load when we checked.Ask:Which of these are in the plan you’d buy, on your own phones?
FieldproxyPest workflows, recurring billing, a client portal. Unlimited users, priced by job volume; its two pages disagree on setup fees.Ask:What gets set up for you, who maintains it, and how GST and Tally work.
ZuperInspection forms, chemical quantities per job, van and warehouse stock. Pest article from 2023, release notes from 2026.Ask:Which modules and connectors are current, for your exact steps?
FieldDeskAn Indian (Surat) field app: AMC and warranty work, stock allocated to technicians, a customer app. Prices shown in USD.Ask:What does the INR package include, and does it handle GST and Tally?
UPGEARContracts, visits, chemical, GST, TDS, Tally export and renewals in one product.Ask:Can your team use it, including the phone app with the signal off?
ONE BATON, FIVE PEOPLE
The contract is the baton. Watch where it gets dropped.
Each person below is thinking one question. In the demo, make every vendor answer all five on the same job, and run the technician’s part with the signal off.
I moved the 14th to the 18th. Is the visit still owed?
KavyaCONTRACT → VISIT
UPGEARVisits sit on the contract, so a moved one stays owed.
Basement, no signal. Will my photos and signature be saved?
ImranVISIT → PROOF
UPGEARCheck-in, photos and sign-off save on the phone and sync when signal returns.TEST WITH SIGNAL OFF
0.4 litre came back. Does stock know?
FaizCHEMICAL → BALANCE
UPGEARReturn linked to the issue, confirmed into stock, hand stock tracked.
Is this visit billable now, or does the quarterly rule apply?
NehaDONE → BILL
UPGEARThe contract’s billing schedule decides it. One click raises the GST invoice.
₹40,000 came in with TDS cut. And they still remember July.
RahulBILL → RENEWAL
UPGEARTDS and the real balance due, with complaints on the renewal view.
THE KIT LIST
Compare what you’ll be paying for in year two, not the price on the homepage
Get every vendor to quote against the same ten lines. We couldn’t find a direct price for QuikAllot, and Fieldy’s plan page showed “Loading…” instead of prices when we checked.
PMPWA MUMBAI MEMBERS
UPGEAR Core starts at ₹11,000 a year for up to 5 users, a member rate agreed with PMPWA Mumbai. Membership is confirmed before the quote. Every other business gets a written quote for its scope. See pricing →
For any integration, ask which records move, which way, how often, and what happens when one fails. UPGEAR hands invoices and receipts to Tally as an import file your accountant controls.

PICK A FIELD APP IF
routing, the technician app, custom job types or one particular integration matter most, and the package you’d buy got past “done” in the demo.
PICK UPGEAR IF
your work is recurring contracts that run through operations, the store and accounts, and your own team carried the baton all five legs in it.
WAIT ON ALL OF THEM IF
nobody has carried your own contract past “done” in a demo yet. That’s the test that decides it.
THE FULL SCORECARD · 27 DECISIONS
Line by line, UPGEAR carries the whole AMC. Check every line yourself.
27 lines that decide an AMC software choice. Competitor cells come from their own pages; ours from the product you’ll see in the demo. Tap any cell for the source and the test to run. “Ask them” means their pages didn’t settle it. It doesn’t mean missing.

Take the open questions into every demo, ours too. Ask both vendors to use the same contract. Move a visit, return chemical, take a part payment with TDS.
Move one finished job and one open job first, and agree how changes made during the switch get captured. None of these apps has a ready connector into UPGEAR, so write down what you’ll import and how you’ll reach old records before you pick a date.
Is pest-control software always better than a field app?No. The label on the website isn’t the test. Look at how the package you’d buy handles recurring visits, proof, stock and the accounts.
Does UPGEAR work better offline?UPGEAR saves visit entries on the phone and syncs when the network comes back. Fieldproxy, QuikFSM and Zuper advertise offline use; Zoho FSM documents its limits. Test every product with the signal off on a real job.
Will a listed accounting integration cover us?Not necessarily. Send a real sample across, then test a rejected record, a duplicate and a correction. Your accountant decides if it passed.
Why put five brands on one page? They’re similar kinds of choice, so the same five handoffs work for all of them. Their packages differ, so each gets its own question.
Bring the job that always ends in a call to accounts
We’ll run it all the way to the renewal, with your own people at the keyboard.
